Lupin Cross Stitch is Done from The Cozy Quilter

I added the last outlining stitches to my lupins cross stitch this week when Christine was over to sew one evening. I will take this to the framers soon, along with my Winter Woods project. I purchased this kit when we were in Newfoundland in June 2023. I also purchased a kit to make a pitcher plant hooked rug when I was there and hope to work on it next.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and some time to relax this past week once the festivities were over. A Variety of Projects from The Cozy Quilter

Somehow, I managed to do some sewing almost every day this past week. Two sunflowers are almost done in this quadrant of my sunflower cross stitch. I also added a bee and some leaves.

I'm going to a wedding shower tomorrow for my cousin's daughter. If you know her, please don't spill the beans. I am quite sure that the bride to be does not read my blog! I made her these pillowcases--they like to go camping so the canoe fabric was chosen with this in mind.

Two Finished Quilts! from The Cozy Quilter

I have two finished quilts to share with you this week. They are both Rainbow Scrap Challenge finishes, the first from 2021 and the second one from 2022. This pattern is by Gudrun Erla from her "Quilts of Iceland" book. I used a turquoise Kona solid for the binding which co-ordinates nicely with the bicycles fabric on the back of the quilt.

Retreat Report from The Cozy Quilter

Christine and I left early for our quilting retreat with the Oxford Guild this past Friday because there was a winter storm coming and we wanted to get there and be set up before the snow started to fall. The snow started in the afternoon and kept going all night. In the morning there was almost a foot of snow (30cm for the metric folks). We were all snowed in and loving it.
